It is such a joy to see Dulary enjoying her new habitat.I saw Dulary at the Phila. Zoo every time I visited during the last 40 years! It is so fine to see her out of those cramped quarters, enjoying swims, exploration, and fresh grass in the woods. I do apprecaite what you have done for Dulary and do not miss her at all (at the Phila. zoo) knowing that her old age will be so serene and peaceful and she will be looked after by such caring people!I am very content looking at our elephant statue! I'm so glad Dulary has finally reached sanctuary-- she deserves it, and she gives hope to everyone who has ever tried to get captive elephants out of circuses and zoos.
Please sign the petition (thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/588753326?ltl=1179333377) to release Maggie-- the lone African elephant-- from the Alaska Zoo. Zoo officials will decide her fate in August, so if enough people sign the petition and write to the Alaska Zoo, Maggie may find sanctuary too.

I can't express and describe how I felt as I was reading a diary about Dulary. I mean she is only one of them that I have fallen in love with. It reminds me so painfully how cruel the humans have treated all these gentle, beautiful animals. Few years back, I watched a couple of elephants reunite on Animal Planet show, ever since there has been deep sadness grew in my heart. I watched another show on Korean TV how elephants are horribly handled in Thai. I cried hours and days. I then realized that I would have to something to be relieved from this painful feeling and tears. Thanks to Dulary for forgiving us and give us opportunity to amend for what others have done. I wish we could save all of the abused elephants in Thai and in Africa and set them free. Someday, I will meet Dulary and other family members.

Your ability to adjust to Sanctuary life has exceeded our highest hopes and your new family and freedom seems to agree with you. I remember over ten years ago when the elephant sanctuary had three elephants: Tarra, Barbara and Jenny. And how exciting it was to see three elephants live a new kind of captive life. How much better it was to see an elephant with a smile on their face and a spring in their step. And now there are 19! And more stand in the wings, waiting for that break. The pace of change seems to be accelerating.

Welcome Dulary to your wonderful new home! I live near Philadelphia and signed many petitions to help you move to the Elephant Sanctuary. I even wrote the Philadelphia Daily News expressing my concerns for you and your 3 other companions at the zoo. I'm so happy to read how well you are doing and how much you love your sisters!
