We Invite You to Become a VIP PATRON
with an Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Visit to The Sanctuary
by Making a Five-Year Commitment of Support

Your VIP commitment enables us to provide the most proactive approach to elephant care and unmatched state of the art facilities for captive elephants rescued from zoos and circuses. To date this program has helped to:

  • Expand to 2,700 Acres
  • Build State-of-the-Art African and Asian Elephant Houses
  • Install 20 Miles of Fencing
  • Continue to recruit, hire, and train additional caregivers
  • Purchase two buildings in downtown Hohenwald for the Sanctuary Education Gallery
  • Establish Endowments for Resident Elephants
  • Remember, it costs $133,000 annually to provide sanctuary for one elephant!

VIP Program

This VIP Behind-the-Scenes tour is your opportunity to visit with Sanctuary staff and have the privilege of seeing how this operation really works by viewing our state-of-the-art facilities.This is an exclusive opportunity to be in the middle of everything without disrupting the elephants' daily lives. In keeping with our mission, the elephants will not be put on exhibit. If you are fortunate enough to see elephants at a distance, in the habitat, that will be an unscheduled added bonus. The entire commitment must be met before scheduling a tour.

The Tour dates for 2013 are May 4 and September 28.

We have room for approximately twenty-two people on each tour, and names will be placed on the list on a first come first served basis. Please note: Tour participants must be able to walk up to ½ mile unassisted over rough, uneven terrain and climb a narrow interior spiral staircase. Participants must be able to stand in non-shaded areas, sometimes in extreme heat.

A VIP member may bring one guest. When the Tours are filled we will start a waiting list for each date. In fairness to everyone who is interested in attending a tour, you may only sign up for one tour or waiting list date.
