General Facility Needs:

Washer & Dryer Outfits for Asia and Africa
[$4,000.00]-The Asia and Africa Barns are in desperate need of heavy-duty, high-efficiency, front load washer and dryer units. These are essentially commercial grade units without the coin slots which are to be installed in the barns to enable Caregivers to wash their heavily soiled clothing on sight. You can just imagine the wear and tear that Sanctuary mud and other forms of elephant mess the Caregivers get on their clothes would have on a home washer / dryer unit. And these units will allow us to also wash items like Winkie’s blanket, hand towels, etc. at each barn rather than at the central unit all barns are currently sharing at the Darbytown office. Yes, they are expensive but if is helps make the job a little easier for our hardworking Caregiver staff – it’s worth it! The amount posted is the total for both barns and also includes all the prep needed at the barns for the plumbing, installation and wiring of these units, running water lines, etc.

Cosequin Equine Powder - Pkg. 1400 gram - Ongoing Need
[$103.42 Ea]-It is true that preventative medicine can go a long way to insuring our girls long term wellness. That is why all of our elephants receive Cosequin daily. Recent studies indicate that joint deterioration, as well as the accompanied debilitating pain and inflammation, can be prevented if addressed early. By supplementing the elephants with Cosequin before they show signs of a problem we can help to increase their chances of not developing the condition. As the elephants age, their risk of joint inflammation and deterioration increases. By providing Cosequin now, their joints have a better chance of staying healthy. This preventive measure just might stop the onset of the crippling inflammation and joint deterioration that plagues so many elephants kept in captivity. Call Nutramax Labs at 1-800-925-5187, or underwrite this product using the above link.
