Secret Life of Elephants, a two-hour exploration into the lives of more than 900 elephants that roam Kenya's National Samburu Reserve, makes its debut on May 16 at 8 p.m. on Animal Planet.

Follow the remarkable stories of magnificent wild elephants living in Kenya's Samburu National Reserve through the eyes of Kenya's ground breaking Save the Elephants project. With the help of Iain Douglas-Hamilton and Saba Douglas-Hamilton, this picturesque documentary explores the secret beguiling world of elephants as never seen before. For the first time, researchers will follow the astonishing, intimate stories of individual elephants as these beautiful giants raise their families, forge alliances and fight for survival.

It takes nature millions of years to evolve a new species. It takes only minutes to eradicate one from the wild forever.

This program is also being shown on May 18th at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
