Welcome Center Events in May
2011-04-28

Sanctuary staff and volunteers at the Welcome Center invite you to stop by the Welcome Center in downtown Hohenwald in May for a special program about African and Asian elephants called What makes an elephant – an ELEPHANT? Do you think that all elephants are basically the same? Get a new perspective on the Sanctuary elephants, the different species, their similarities and their differences through detailed images and video. Find out what truly makes an elephant—an ELEPHANT.

Informal programs are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7th and May 21st. A photo exhibit of African and Asian elephants is currently on display. Visitors may also enjoy viewing live video streaming of all three habitats at the Welcome Center thanks to the recent launch of the new digital Elecams.
