Cindy Alkhoudairy   November 2005 - Cindy had donated one OB Sleeve. These shoulder-length gloves are essential for Misty's treatment. All three of Misty's medications are placed in her rectum using a thin plastic tube. These gloves are used by cargivers when this tubing is put into place. Elinor Zetina   October 2005 - Although the elephants gets lots of exercise and wear their pads and nails down due to their daily activity, a little corrective trimming never hurt. The special blades and handles that Elinor donated enable the caregivers to do precise trimming anywhere the elephants happen to be in the habitat. Elinor has also donated 8 of the commerical blenders we will need to mix the medication for the Hawthorn elephants once they arrive. She has also donated cyrovials and ice packs. Elefanherd   March 2005 - The fantastically energetic and profoundly effective group of elephant lovers affectionately called the Elefanherd underwrote the cost of seven of the nine exhaust fans needed for the new Asian barn. They did this by engaging in a monthly fund raiser they dub the Wish List Blitz. After successfully convincing an exhaust fan distributor to reduce the price of fans for the Sanctuary, the group challenged each other to raise the funds to purchase all of the needed fans. Two members came through by purchasing two fans while the remainder of the group met the challenge and underwrote the cost of the remaining seven fans. The EleFan Herd   January 2005 - The EleFan Herd developed an innovative project which they call the Wish List Blitz. Once a month an item is selected from the wish list and the EleFans work feverishly to raise the funds to buy it. This month they chose a new welder and accessories at a cost of $2,000. The BLITZ started with a bang and brought in all the funds needed in less than 48 hours. These supporters are truly amazing, not to mention dedicated.
