Frieda was born in Asia in 1966. She performed in circus her entire life before coming to the Sanctuary.

She was labeled a dangerous elephant and was handled "protected contact" prior to arriving at the Sanctuary. Her reputation as a dangerous elephant is completely contrary to her behavior. She elicits affection and has shown no signs of aggression since her arrival.

Her best friends are Liz and Billie. Frieda is extremely vocal and affectionate. She is precocious and ready to explore her surroundings, especially if Liz goes with her.
