July 21st marks the anniversary of the passing of two Sanctuary family members. Tina (1970 - 2004) was the eighth elephant to find Sanctuary when she came to Tennessee from Vancouver.
Caregiver Joanna Burke passed away on this day in 2006. Joanna's life, and empathy for the elephants she dearly loved, will always be an inspiration to The Sanctuary community.
